The first thing you need is to open up Corel PaintShop Pro and choose "New" from the "File" menu. You will see the "New Image" dialog box. Set the size of paper to 8.5 by 11.5. Set the resolution to 200 pixels per inch. This will create an image about 170 by 2200 pixels. Set the color of the image as white and click "OK."
Find your pictures. Open you pictures in the Paint Shop Pro browser. Simply choose "Browse" from the "File" menu. Locate the picture in the Browse window. Click and drag the picture from the browser window onto your canvas; this opens the image file. Now, you can tweak your picture using the crop feature.
Now insert the picture into the collage page. Click the picture to select it, and then choose "Edit." Copy the picture in the clipboard. Then switch to the blank canvas and choose "Edit," "Paste," "Paste As New Layer." The picture should appear on the blank page.
Select the Move tool and move the picture to where you want it. The Move tool can be located on the toolbar and has the icon that looks like a four-way arrow. After you have selected it, click in the picture you just pasted and drag it until you find the desired location. I recommend that you start at the bottom right corner and work your way up to the top.
Resize the picture. Select the Deform tool. Move the mouse over the bottom-right corner of the picture. Don’t click and drag; if you do you will get a distorted picture with the wrong aspect ratio. Instead, right-click the sizing handle and then drag it while holding the right mouse button down. This makes the image the desired size, keeping the right aspect ratio. Then left-click anywhere inside the photo and drag it to position it on the page.
Now that you have added your first picture you can continue this process for the rest of the pictures to create your collage.
